God has called me to use my talents to capture memories for people that they can cherish for a lifetime. My passion for photography started around my junior year of high school. My senior year I got to help take pictures for the yearbook and that's when I knew I wanted to do it for a career. I chose to get a camera instead of a class ring. I attended Oklahoma School of Photography in 2001. Upon returning home I managed Sears Portrait Studio for 5 years. That is not where I saw myself being for so long but God knew the plan He had for me and the things I would need to learn to run my own business even if I didn't know it at the time. In 2003 I married my amazing husband who I had dated since 8th grade! In 2004 we had our first daughter. She was our whole world as most first babies are. In 2007 we had our next wonderful daughter. It was then that I knew I could no longer work full time at Sears I finally was able to leave and start my own photography business in 2008. God gave me the wonderful opportunity to be able to take pictures on my time so that I was able to stay home with my babies. In 2010 we had our much longed for and last baby, a boy. My photography business has led me down many roads and allowed me to meet so many people. I am constantly trying new things with portraits and I love that photography is always changing. I also love that each photographer has their own style that they should stay true to. My prayer is that God would give me the eye to photograph what He sees in people. I hope that is evident when you view your portraits!
I am a college graduate from Northeastern State University with a degree in Marketing. My husband and I have been married since 2006 and in 2011 we welcomed our first born, Titus, into the world. I was blessed enough to stay home with him and then in 2013 we welcomed our second bundle of joy, Fisher. My family lights up my world! My favorite time of the week is getting to spend times with them at my Grandmother's house doing arts and crafts or creating forts to hide in! In fact, I have always been into art. I love pottery, painting, drawing, and my of course photography is my absolute favorite. I often try to explain how important capturing your lives throughout the different stages of life are. I’ve heard it all….once she gets her braces off, once I lose those few extra pounds, once her front teeth come in. Now is the time people! We never know when our last moment may be and then all the sudden that money you couldn’t bear to spend became the best investment you ever made for you and your family. That is why I love capturing all the moments of your life, so you can look back and see the moments that will be cherished forever.
Pictures are Priceless!!
Birth day is exciting and scary and chaotic and beautiful all in one for a new momma. There is so much that goes on that you miss while you are in the middle of it all. Let me come and capture that magical day for you so you have those memories to look back on forever. Some people find the idea of photographing a birth awkward or embarrassing because they are on the more modest side. I strive to be a "fly on the wall" during your delivery. I keep my photographs tasteful and become part of the background during all the special moments. No one will see your intimate images unless you choose to share them, they are delivered to you on a password protected website that only you know the password to. If you are considering hiring me for your birth, please contact your doctor or midwife and make sure that it is allowed at your hospital and if so have them let you know any restrictions they may have.
Little cheeks, tiny toes, all the sweet squishiness of a baby that is 10 days old!! Each newborn that comes into the studio makes my heart melt. My goal is for Mom and Dad to feel comfortable and find a few moments of rest while I create memories of a lifetime for them to cherish. Besides who could resist the sweet coo's and ahhh's from such a precious little one? I know I can't! If you are considering hiring me, please contact me before your baby is due so I can be aware of the time frame as it is important to have baby in the studio for the best shots around 10 days old. I would love to work with you and meet your precious new family addition!
